Shipping needs P2X to significantly reduce GHG emissions
Also in the shipping sector, sustainable alternative fuels can make huge contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions quickly and significantly. With its “FuelEU-Maritime” initiative, the European Commission aims at “achiev[ing] economies of scale” to accelerate the uptake of sustainable alternative fuels and “provid[ing] greater certainty to market operators”. The initiative is part of the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s Green Deal and intends to contribute to the EU’s climate targets.
Towards more sustainable aviation with P2X
Sustainable aviation fuels have the potential to significantly reduce aircraft emissions while their potential is largely untapped, says the European Commission. Their initiative “Sustainable Aviation Fuels – ReFuelEUAviation (SAF)” aims to boost the supply and demand for sustainable aviation fuels in the EU with the result that aviation’s environmental footprint is reduced. The initiative is part of the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s Green Deal and intends to contribute to the EU’s climate targets.
